Blue Rock Pizza And Tap Information

Tucked along N Main Street in High Point, Blue Rock Pizza And Tap has the kind of laid-back charm that makes you want to settle in and stay a while. The location is easy to spot, with a welcoming exterior that hints at the casual, neighborhood vibe waiting inside. Walking in, the atmosphere feels immediately comfortable-dim but not too dark, with a mix of rustic and modern touches that give it a relaxed, slightly upscale diner feel.

The menu leans heavily into artisan-style pizzas, but there’s enough variety to keep things interesting. Their wood-fired pies are clearly the star, with a crust that strikes a nice balance between crispy and chewy. One standout is the classic margherita, where the simplicity really lets the fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce shine. For something more adventurous, their specialty pizzas layer bold toppings without feeling overdone. Beyond pizza, the menu includes shareable appetizers, salads, and a few hearty sandwiches, making it a solid spot whether you’re in the mood for a full meal or just a casual bite.

What really elevates the experience is the tap selection. As the name suggests, Blue Rock Pizza And Tap takes its beer seriously, offering a rotating list of craft brews alongside reliable favorites. Staff members are usually happy to recommend pairings, and their suggestions tend to be spot-on, especially if you’re trying to match a drink with a richer or spicier pizza.

Service here generally feels attentive without being intrusive. During a recent visit, the waitstaff checked in just enough to keep things running smoothly, even during a busy dinner rush. Food came out at a steady pace, and everything tasted fresh, which is something you don’t always get at places with a similar casual vibe.

Customer reviews around High Point often mention the consistent quality and friendly atmosphere, and that lines up well with the experience. It’s not trying to be overly trendy or reinvent the wheel, but it executes its concept confidently. If there’s any limitation, it might be that peak hours can get a bit crowded, which can slow things down slightly, but that’s also a sign of how popular it is with locals.

For anyone exploring the dining scene in High Point, this spot feels like a dependable go-to for good pizza, a thoughtful menu, and a welcoming place to unwind.

What People's Say About Place

Good pizza place. Service was top notch and food was good. Pizza crust was thin and crispy. Overall a good pizza place !!

I had a great time with Tessa, she was so nice and sweet and smelled like lavender. What a great person even made so much to get to know me and I got to connect on a deeper level within her. I appreciate her condescending nature… jk she is awesome sauce.

I decided to try this establishment after this stranger recommended it to me. The staff were friendly, down to earth, and helpful even if they weren't our particular server. We asked questions and received the most honest answers about specific menu items. We placed our orders. One of the items we ordered was the Big Foot Country Pizza. It was delicious, especially the special sauce they gave you. As minute as it may be, I did not like that the server was hesitant about giving us an additional napkin because the owner would go off on her about it. I found that to be strange. We were given one napkin at our initial seating and asked for an additional one because the one we initially used was usable. The restaurant was a little compact for my taste, but it was not important enough to stop me from returning. I recommend you give it a try.

In the mood for some great draft beer and lunch before the usual brewery opening times of 1 on a Sunday? Come check this place out. I believe they opened at 11 today, and the parking lot was pretty full when we arrived before noon. 3 separate eating areas available here. Bar seating on one end, and restaurant seating on the other, with a nice outdoor area for those perfect weather day’s. Sampled a few of there beers along with an Mac and cheese appetizer that was creamy, with a nice bacon touch mixed in. Ordered the small Bigfoot Country pizza, that was brought out promptly. Crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were a perfect marriage together. There’s a lot to explore on their menu so plan on returning if you like your first.

I'm not sure how to rate three and a half stars on Google, so this place gets a four. The atmosphere is cool and a bit typical for a rock-n-roll themed eatery, but I applaud the ownership for their strong effort. The wait staff was attentive, particularly Emily O. who was excellent. Where this place started losing stars from my review was the pizza. It's their specialty to offer creative and unique pizza options, and I give them credit for a very solid menu. But the problem is two-fold, price and corn meal. A small pizza, probably a 14" in reality, will set you back$16 to $18. There are some that are even more pricey if you want to add a topping. And the cornmeal on the crust was pervasive, way too much for us. I don't know if I actually truly tasted their crust since there was so much cornmeal. It was everywhere. As a person who occasionally makes my own homemade pizza, I understand and value cornmeal as a buffer to prevent your raw dough crust from sticking to the peel. But it should be barely there, in my opinion. The mushroom and pep was nowhere near as good as the price tag indicated it would be, and the olive oil based chicken, arugula, and fig pizza had a strong twang of, you guessed it, cornmeal flavor, but I was told it tasted "ok". All in all, you can dismiss my review as yet another transplanted guy from New England who mocks southern pizza, but I probably won't be back. Sorry Emily, you were great, but I don't care for corn pizza.

I’ve only been to this place a handful of times, but they’ve just got themselves a very loyal customer. My senior dog recently passed away and before his euthanasia, Blue Rock pizza made him his very own custom pizza, shaped in a dog bone. Thank you for helping us give our sweet Bentley a wonderful meal during his last days

Such a cool place. You could have very different experiences depending on where you sit in the restaurant. They have an outside patio, inside seating and a bar area as well. We sat in the inside seating but all looked like great options. Food was well priced and very good quality. My daughter and I really enjoyed our time here. We will definitely be back!

This place is awesome. They were clean, service was prompt and friendly. Pricing was extremely reasonable. The pizza is the best we've had in NC. This is the artisan quality I expect to find in Portland and Seattle, which I haven't encountered on the East Coast yet. Quality ingredients you can really taste the difference in, the beer on tap is varied with a fantastic selection of craft brews. Can't wait to go back.
